- 1 teaspoon riboflavin powder (Vitamin B2)
- 2 cups sugar
- ½ cup corn syrup
- ½ cup water
- ½ teaspoon citric acid
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (blue, green, purple)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, and tonic water. Heat until sugar dissolves.
- Add citric acid and riboflavin, stirring well.
- Boil to 300°F (150°C) (hard crack stage) using a candy thermometer.
- Divide into bowls, add food coloring, and swirl together.
- Pour onto the baking sheet, allow to cool, then break into pieces.
Notes
- Best viewed under UV or black light for a glowing effect.
- Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- You can replace tonic water with riboflavin powder for a stronger glow.
