- 10 wonton wrappers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam or fresh strawberries, chopped
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth and well combined.
- Place a small spoonful of the cheesecake mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Top with a teaspoon of strawberry jam or chopped strawberries.
- Wet the edges of the wonton wrapper with a bit of water, fold the wrapper into a triangle or rectangle, and press the edges to seal tightly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully fry the stuffed wontons for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the wontons from the oil and drain them on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
